Summer Camp FAQs

For our summer camp to run smoothly and successfully, we adhere to certain guidelines and policies that are listed below. Please use this information to assist you in planning your summer camp experience. If there are any other questions you may have regarding our summer camp program or policies, feel free to contact us.

  • How do your age guidelines work?
Our  age guidelines are there to insure your children have the best summer camp experience possible. If your child is almost 6 please contact us to discuss whether the particular program you are interested in will be appropriate for your child. Programs and their curriculum are designed specifically for the designated age group and their abilities. If you would like to discuss this in further details please email registrar@scienceseeds.com We reserve the right to cancel registrations for children who are too young to attend a particular program.

  • Who are your summer camp lead instructors?
Our lead instructors are college graduates who studied in a science, technology, or engineering related field. They are CPR/First Aid Certified and have passed background checks required by the state of New Jersey for educators. Instructors are supported by our counselors, who are high school or college students interested in working with children and have a passion for STEAM fields. We aim to keep our Staff to Camper ratio at 1:9 for camps ages 6-14, and at 1:5 for camps ages 4-6. Our lead instructors have either all worked with us for a substantial period of time or are professionals who have been vetted.

The summer camp counselors are high school students from surrounding areas as well college students. Our counselor application process is thorough and intensive. Many of our counselors work with us throughout the school year.  Counselors assist the instructors, support campers, and help where needed (drop-off, pick-up, and lunchtime). They are all passionate about STEAM and love working with children.
  • Nut Free Facility
