Leonardo Da Vinci was both a great scientist and artist. Albert Einstein was not only a scientist but also an accomplished violinist. Beatrix Potter wrote but was a natural scientist. However today science and art separate and many believe that science is analytical while art is creative. We believe that both scientists and artists try to explain the world we live in and that their two worlds intersect all the time. From the chemistry and physics of colors to how our brains works, join us as we connect the dots and bridge the gap.
This camp is a hands-on project based camp that will explore the world of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) through Making. Projects will be determined by the age of the participants but may include - designing drawing machines, using chemistry to create art, discovering material science as we experiment with concrete, creating mechanical structures, simple coding and much more.
