  • How do your age guidelines work?
Our  age guidelines are there to insure your children have the best summer camp experience possible. If you child will be 5 at the start of camp please do not register them for camps that are marked 6 and up. If your child is almost 6 please contact us to discuss whether the particular program you are interested in will be appropriate for your child. Programs and their curriculum are designed specifically for the designated age group and their abilities. If you would like to discuss this in further details please email [email protected] We reserve the right to cancel registrations for children who are too young to attend a particular program.

Behavior that threatens the well being of or that represents physical danger to your child and/or other children is deemed “unacceptable behavior.”  We expect that all children enrolled in our programs adhere to our code of conduct .  Our instructors  and staff set clear boundaries and expectations as to appropriate conduct and we will hold all students to these expectations. We review our camp rules with all campers at the beginning of every camp week.

Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to the following:

    • Verbal abuse (cursing, teasing, name-calling, etc.)
    • Refusing to follow directions or listen to instructors
    • Destruction of property
    • Behavior deemed to be risky to your child and those around him/her
    • Bullying of any kind

We reserve the absolute right to determine how to best deal with disruptive behaviour. • Who are your summer camp lead instructors?
Our lead instructors are college graduates who studied in a science, technology, or engineering related field. They are CPR/First Aid Certified and have passed background checks required by the state of New Jersey for educators. Instructors are supported by our counselors, who are high school or college students interested in working with children and have a passion for STEAM fields. We aim to keep our Staff to Camper ratio at 1:9 for camps ages 6-14, and at 1:5 for camps ages 4-6. Our lead instructors have either all worked with us for a substantial period of time or are professionals who have been vetted.
  • Who are your summer camp counselors?
The summer camp counselors are high school students from surrounding areas as well college students. Our counselor application process is thorough and intensive. Many of our counselors work with us throughout the school year.  Counselors assist the instructors, support campers, and help where needed (drop-off, pick-up, and lunchtime). They are all passionate about STEAM and love working with children.
  • Nut Aware Facility

For the safety of all children, please do not pack snacks and lunches that contain nuts or nut butters. While we are a “nut aware” camp, we cannot guarantee a nut-free environment. You are welcome to pack snacks for your child.  We do not have the ability to heat lunches for your children. We also do not have the ability to make lunch for your child.

  • What is a typical day schedule?
In general our day is divided into 4 working sessions (2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon) with snack and lunch in between. Sessions can last anywhere from 1 to 2 hours depending on the kids and their interests. Unless otherwise noted our camp starts at 9:00am and ends at 3:30pm.
